Brookline Tomorrow is an initiative co-sponsored by Climate Change Action Brookline and the Selectmen’s Climate Action Committee of the Town of Brookline. The challenge is designed to raise awareness about the importance of reducing the carbon footprint of our community. With your help we can address the national challenge of climate change by taking action at the local level here in Brookline.

Join hundreds of residents and over 100 organizations who have already become partners. To find out more and sign on go to www.brooklinetomorrow.org.

There are three straightforward requirements to become a Brookline Tomorrow partner.

  1. Do at least one thing to reduce your C02 emissions . Set up recycling containers at your business; print meeting agendas on both sides of the paper; stop buying bottled water. Or, think bigger: trade in your gas-guzzler for a more efficient vehicle; retrofit your office to conserve energy; commit to using only local vendors; start a green team. Just do something and tell us what you did.
  2. Green your events . To the extent that your organization or business holds events throughout the year, adopt a green theme; have the speaker at your annual meeting discuss green business models; green your big fundraiser; host an art exhibition featuring environmental subjects. Plus, think about how you can make them more environmentally friendly.
  3. Help promote our town wide CO2 emissions reduction campaign by taking at least one action from a menu of options. Possible actions include: identifying volunteers or green services; getting your organization or business name out by becoming a partner; announcing events and opportunities to your members or networks; promoting our low carbon living, electricity from wind, and energy audit initiatives to neighbors, members or patrons.
