    Earth Day movie night - Friday 4/22/16 @ 7 pm "Merchants of Doubt"

    The GreenUnited Parish Team will present the film by the Union of Concerned Scientists entitled “Merchants of Doubt” in the UP Parlor accompanied by pizza and followed by discussion. This is a 2015 documentary which explores how corporation-financed public relations sow confusion, doubt and skepticism about scientific research on topics ranging from climate change to smoking.

    The sisters at Mount Saint Mary's Abbey/Trappistine Quality Candy are definite renewable energy leaders! The Abbey hosts a wind turbine (that we purchase green power from on behalf of our members), a solar arrayand a geothermal generator.

    Tour all 3 generators with us on Saturday April 23 at 10am! This tour is free and open to the public.

    Plus, a candy tasting!

    The sisters don't stop at hosting renewable energy. They own and operate Trappistine Quality Candy. All of the candy is preservative-free and made by the sisters at the Abbey. After we tour their renewable energy facilities, we will be treated to a special free candy tasting!!
